About Us
We spend the majority of our lives in two places—at home and at work. Chances are most of us are at one of those places now. (For college students, school will qualify as one of those, if not both.)

We often seek out that “third place” where we can:
— get out of the house but go somewhere with a ‘homey’ atmosphere.
— find a spot near work to have lunch or to meet friends for coffee.
The Bootsma Bookstore Café provides the hallmarks of what makes a true “third place,” as defined by author Ray Oldenburg in his book The Great, Good Place:

Food and drink – Accessible for many – Welcoming and comfortable
A place where both new friends and old can be found
